The most wasted of all days is the one without laughter

I was pondering what to blog about today, especially after I Mini Meadowed (see the side bar) the news about the webcam, then I open up the inbox and see that we have some Blog Minion news:

RIB for this: penguin watch. I’ve no idea what he was looking for when he stumbled across it, and frankly I’m not too sure I want to know, but find it he did.

JB is reaffirming his Minion credentials with this: Taking Fat Penguins for a walk.

Both of, congratulations on being the first Minions of the new site 🙂 Have a button:

  1. Not sure how much I like the term ‘minion’…
All I’ve got is an army of small Japanese children who do my bidding for 40 minutes a week.
Might start teaching them how to surf the internoot instead of English.

  2. Minion is a great term.

Ok, so it has some nasty connotations, but those aren’t applicable in this case. I think it is time to take back the word and make it something good.

I have just used the OED and, it turns out, that originally, Minions were the favourites of a sovereign, or other powerful person. (From the French, “mignon”, meaning darling).

So, as Blog Minions, you are people who are specially favoured. I use it as a term of endearment and affection.

    So there 😛
