Another new Blog Minion!

(If you’re one of those people who reads something and hears the authors voice as they read it, please bear with me whilst I sound incredibly croaky. I’m not just hoarse – I’m the entire bloody farmyard right now.)

Yesterday RIB got himself a special badge because he named the penguin (Mr Flibble, in case you missed the announcement).

Today I would like to welcome one more Minion to the fold – Josh. Whilst he’s a relative newcomer to Bright Meadow, he’s put in sterling works in the comments, and has forwarded on to me some very thought provoking articles, more than one of which has found its way into the weekly ‘Roast. Oh, and he’s made me smile on more than one occasion, which is always a plus.

Congratulations Josh – I would like to award you with your Minion Button, your place in the Blog Minion Hall of Fame, and this virtual cup of tea. cup of tea

Now go, take your button out into the world and proudly proclaim to one and all your Minion-hood!

*2* And no, it isn’t a derogatory term. I mean it in a nice way.

  1. Woohoo. Thanks. 🙂

In regards to my secrets, Dewayne: interest in stuff that is no longer around, geeky stuff, and shiny boots.

    Particularly the shiny boots.

  2. What makes a minion?
    Bribery always works.
As does saying how wonderful I am.
Finding me something fun and/or penguin related.
Passing on a link to a great site – be it thought provoking, funny, or just plain bizarre.

I’m remarkably fickle. What works for one person will not necessarily work for someone else. Everyone has something that makes them special, so I appreciate each of my minions for their own uniqueness.

All I ask to be a minion is this – be you. Shine.
    🙂

  3. I am a new reader to Bright Meadows…. found it through coComment! Anyway, I like the idea of the Blog Minions. I hope that I shall one day be dubbed a blog minion.

  4. Well hello Crazy (or would that be Richard, or CrazyBarbour… – which do you prefer?) and welcome to Bright Meadow.

I knew coComment had to be good for something! Long may I remain in the top ten commented blogs list
    😀

I look forward to seeing more of you in the following days/weeks/months and can’t wait to see what you do to become a blog minion
    🙂

Have fun, and watch out for Mr Flibble the Penguin. He’s a tad evil and a mite unpredictable…

  5. Hello hello, I don’t mind what you call me…. Crazy is shorter than the rest lol

And thanks for the welcome, altho I don’t like that you only included “days/weeks/months” and not years 😛

And I will watch out for Mr Flibble indeed….. Carpe Aptenodytes!

  6. Hey, hey, hey – I make up the nicknames round here. *huff*
Less of this outsourcing…. oh hang on, you did it. Well, in that case, I guess its alright.
    No-one likes my nicknames anyway.

  7. Crazy. Hmm, I can live with that.
    🙂

As for the forgetting to include years, sorry. I do have an excuse though – I was a little merry on wine last night when I typed that, so I’m surprised the comment was even comprehensible. I don’t want to give the impression I post drunk a lot – I don’t – but last night was special. I was celebrating the end of unemployment 😀

    And JB…

Nope. I’m hungover. Can’t think of anything clever or even vaguely witty to say. Smile, be happy, for life is sure to get better.

  8. Thank you 🙂

I think the only person more pleased than me about the change in circumstances is my bank manager. Oh, and the student loans people.

I know the job is going to be soul-destroyingly dull, but right now I am just looking forward to getting out of the house.
