If I never blog again…

… Blame Neko.

Turns out, the Godhead reads the blog. And it’s all her fault *

Whether he knows he’s called the Godhead is debatable, but he’s a clever chap. Chances are he’ll work it out **

Quite why the thought of my ex-supervisor reading my blog freaks me out more than the knowledge that both my father and brother read my blog, I’m not sure, but freak the crap out of me it does.

Just thought I’d write this post so you know who to go pelt with rotten eggs when I don’t post for ever more because I’m all intimidated ๐Ÿ˜›

* Well, I’m pretty sure I never gave him the URL, so yes, I shall blame her. In a friendly way ๐Ÿ˜€
** Especially after this post!

  1. ๐Ÿ™‚ aw shucks….. I did say I don’t think he is the ‘avid reader’ type… but he does know where it is now…..

Sorry folks. I killed Cas! (think southpark… oh forget it. pop culture references don’t work so well in type)

    Neko out.

    my work here is done………..

  2. Ex-supervisor?

Don’t worry about that. Try blogging under the pressure of knowing your friends, family, boss and boss’s boss read your ramblings.

But I’d guess I would worry if I talked about my breasts as much as you do yours… ๐Ÿ˜›

  3. I got the reference Neko ๐Ÿ™‚

Dan: Family doesn’t bother me too much. They’ve lived with my insanity for long enough now to not be surprised by anything I do. Ditto work people. The most common reaction I get is a simple shake of the head and a resigned “yes Cas…”

    The godhead however…

I think it’s something to do with wanting to be seen as a serious academic. You know, that whole respect gig…

Though on sober reflection that ship sailed a LONG time ago.

(And as for talking about my breasts a lot, why not? They are fan-bloody-tabulous and deserved to be talked about far more than they are already, thank you very much ๐Ÿ˜› )

  4. Given due time and occasion I’m sure I’ll be able to testify to that.

Your fierce intellect shines through in your words. Have no fear for whoever reads in this corner of the web.

  5. Meh, I’ve gotten to the point that I no longer care who reads. The people that “don’t get it” don’t care to read my sites, and the people that do get it and care, generally never comment not tell me they read. So I just carry on as if nothing happened, never embarrassed. And especially since the shooting where I work back in September, where 10s of thousands of people read what I wrote… well, it must mean that my writing isn’t all bad after all.

  6. “(And as for talking about my breasts a lot, why not? They are fan-bloody-tabulous and deserved to be talked about far more than they are already, thank you very much )”

And Cas’ male readership goes up….

  7. umm… Caz… i probably should not mention that i gave your blog URL to one our your other former supervisors at your previous HIgher Education Institution ( can’t remember if Blog conventions allow locales and Instittions to be named).. and he apparently dips in from time to time.

  8. Brenda, it is a long story involving a British Waterways narrowboat festival, beer, Saxon-English, and my mother. Also, it sounded happy and easy to remember! Welcome to Bright Meadow and since you asked so nicely I won’t stop ๐Ÿ™‚

Surly – the more the merrier ๐Ÿ˜‰

Brainy Snail – meep. Double meep in fact. Maybe even a bollocks and a shit for good measure.

    *hides under desk*

You had to tell me that didn’t you?

    *points at the brainy snail*

    Ninja Penguins, attack!

Um Dan? I’m pretty sure with that comment you lost any opportunity to testify to that.

  10. The reason I asked is that I have also taken the moniker Bright Meadow –

Brenda being the fem. form of Brad, which is the same etymology as Bright I think, all the books say it means “fiery”

and my former last name meant “from the meadow where the cows are”

“Burning meadow” or “fiery meadow” didn’t seem appropriate but I like the phrase “bright meadow”

My blogs are at http://brightmeadowfarms.blogspot.com or http://brightmeadowknits.blogspot.com (new)
