Wow! (A call to delurk)

101 subscribers?!

One hundred and one subscribers to my RSS feed? Wow, where did y’all come from? Not that I want you to go away again, just… Man, it’s good to see you.

If anyone fancies delurking and introducing themselves, please do. Everyone’s lovely and friendly here 🙂

  1. Nice Cas! 😀

Hi all you lurkers out there, I’m Jay. The one that won’t go away and the “class clown” so to speak!

  2. Probably you already had that number of subscribers, but since Google Reader’s feedfetcher now reports (in the user agent) the number of subscribers to a feed, FeedBurner can know exactly how many readers come from Google’s services.

In my case, for example, I had two (estimated) subscribers from Google Reader until yesterday, and now they’re 28!

  3. Well, I’m here. Sort of. Sometimes.

My FeedBurner says I have 11 readers, of which 15 visited today. Mm… Luckily those WP.com stats look a little more hopeful (though just as confusing). Let’s just say I don’t care about all that readership malarkey then, eh?

Congrats, Cas. Long live 9rules and long live you!

  4. Thanks you three 🙂

Andrea – I became aware of the Google Reader bump shortly after I posted this post (bless 9rules and their notes).

Nils – yeah, I’m taking these figures with a pinch of salt. It’s a bit of an ego boost to see them basically, so I’m not going to be resting on my laurels or anything.

Now come on everyone else – let us know who you are! Pretty please?

  6. Hiya, I started reading your blog a few weeks ago, found it when I was looking for some more information on fountain pens 🙂 I have a blog, but it’s in Dutch (and I’m having a break as I have a thesis to write in the next 6 weeks – EEKS!). So… I’m Renee, Dutch but living in the UK!

  7. Everyone, yes, beware if illyna – she bites. No, she really does! Though luckily for us all she is easily tamed with the judicious presentation of a cup of tea (kind of like my self actually 😉 )

meowkaat – knowing you are still around makes me all happy. Glad you’re still here 🙂

Pierre – good to see you again 🙂

Renee – welcome to the comments, and welcome to Bright Meadow! Good luck with the thesis and hopefully we will see more of you in the future 🙂

  8. make that 102, because I regularly read but don’t subscribe. I don’t hold with all that fancy RSS stuff. Bring back the abacus!!

  9. Lol – hello Moose and Neko 🙂 Though I don’t think you can reliably call yourself a web-techno-phobe when you have a blog Neko!
