  1. Huzzah! I like the new look, suits a photoblog nicely! I tried and failed at a 365 project when I moved- I think I’m going to be missing about 100 days by the end of the year, but it is fun to try to fond something picture-worthy each day.

I do like the instagram app; the depth of field thing in particular is rather lovely, but it’s a lot like the tilt/shift stuff- it can get a bit glib, I think…. but that might be the print photographer inside me that’s been screaming to be let out to play since my aborted A level in the subject….

  2. Hey 🙂

I am not going to go crazy with the tilt/blur thing. It can work, but is better in moderation. This was actually something I took really quickly to test my auto-posting method!

Proper pictures start from the next post 😉

  3. Having had this mini-rant, I then went off to play with the flickr android app which sort-of does similar things. I am starting to think that some of my issues with instagram are that I can’t have it on my android phone…..

  4. Tee hee. To be fair, there are lots of different apps out there that do this sort of thing (some instagram clones, some that came before). What made it click so quickly for me was the sheer ease I could take a photo, make a few tweaks, and share it in multiple places. The integration is pretty much seamless.

I’ll stop going on and on about the iPhone soon, I promise, but we’re still in the flush of new love. Apathy will follow in short order, I am sure.
