I do like shoe shopping. Oh, and yes, I am still alive.

Whilst I get my blogging self back in gear, I need your opinion on something.

Do I keep this pair of shoes or not?

They are totally impractical, insanely over priced, but they are also just so pretty. I’ve been wearing them round the flat all evening and… I love them, but I know I should take them back because I won’t get the chances to wear them… But they are so pretty!

I’m not sure if I want y’all to say “be sensible Cas, take them back!” or if I want y’all to side with my frivolous side and say “You’ve been working insanely hard lately Cas, and deserve to treat yourself”. If I am being honest here, I will admit part of the reason I am debating so hard is because I only brought these (in the green) a few days ago.

Can I really justify two pairs of expensive, frivolous (if gorgeous and actually wearable) shoes in one week?

1) You’ve been working insanely hard lately Cas, and deserve to treat yourself.

2) Practicality has no business messing with your choice of shoes.

3) Someday, you put together an outfit that is so fantastic and sexy and then you will realize that you cannot pair it with anything but green mock snakeskin lace-up heels. If you return them, you will never be able to forgive yourself from that day forward. That’s far too much self-hate for one conscience.

Keep them. :)

Well, ok so I’d mostly made my mind up two hours ago as I was dancing round the flat in them (it’s called ‘breaking them in’, it’s allowed!) and caught sight of them in a full length mirror. They just set off my tattoo to perfection, I couldn’t take them back! And, well, I can dance in them so they just have to stay :D
But your reasoning is icing on the cake and makes me feel less guilty!

Actually, I can’t believe you’re making such a fuss. Keep them. Where’s the fire? Girls need shoes and polka dot umbrellas and there’s nothing you can do about that.

I’m sure I can MAKE a suitable occaision for them sometime. We could get really dressed up and go somewhere swanky for lunch…. :D

Nils - the big deal is the price and the fact I do only have one pair of feet! But, as you so rightly said, us girls need shoes. Not so sure about the polka dot umbrellas though…

I think you should totally take them back.

AHAHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA! Funny to me.

I think they’re adorable and if I could wear shoes like that, I would buy a pair for every day of the week. Enjoy them - create opportunities to wear them - take pictures!
