Possibly the ultimate in tricky travel etiquette –
Whilst on the tube/bus, is it better to upset and offend … or to leave a possibly pregnant woman standing?
Many thanks to @truongthomas for the idea.

That’s a major trick question, isn’t it? I would consider whether she looks particularly tired and/or uncomfortable. If yes, I’d offer her my seat. If she looks like she’s okay, I’d leave well enough alone rather than risk causing offense.
If it was that tough of a call to make then I’d let her stand to avoid any potential offense & embarrassment. Obviously I’d then offer up my seat if asked. Everyone wins! 🙂
I honestly don’t know what I would do. Most of the times I err on the side of getting up and offering the seat – particularly, if like Cheryl says, they look particularly tired/in need.
Sometimes though, I am so damn tired myself, if they don’t ask, they don’t get!
