19-11-2004 – Happy christmas to me from my wonderful parents. They took pity on my RSI ridden wrists, and the pain they were experiencing typing on a tiny laptop keyboard, and have given my a shiny keyboard as an early pressie! It really is very shiny, with wireless bluetooth connectivity to boot! Pity it isn’t all titaniumy to go with the powerbook, but clear and white has a certain groovieness as well. *huggles* parents!

Seeing as how I no longer have the excuse of nasty keyboards for short news-reports, let’s see what else I have to share with you. UM. Well, the date for the cookie wars has been set – next tuesday. I will, of course, win, with the chocolate biscuits. But it isn’t the winning that is important, it is the eating the cookies 😀 Hmmmm. Really, I am living a very dull life at the moment, news wise. Time is spent being lectured too, more time is spent reading around to try and understand what said lectures are about (I defy anyone to understand Entity-Relationship diagrams and modelling of relational databases from one hour long lecture), and of course going to the cinema and watching DVD’s. Going to the gym has lapsed somewhat in the last few weeks (bad Cas), but I’ve been ill, and busy, and I couldn’t go today because I had to be in for when the delivery man called… Next week. Honest.

– Back from Carnival. Pictures to be found on The Carnival Pictures Page. Warning! 34 jpgs, you have been warned, you folks still on dial-up, so no complaining. At some point I will be making it slow-coach friendly, but right now I can’t be bothered. Enjoy.

For those of you who don’t know what carnival is, it is officially called the Glastonbury and Chillkwell Guy Fawkes Carnival (that was a link), and me and mine have been going to it since we were in our prams. Great fun. Cold though – I think one weather report had it as -4 centigrade. That is rather chilly to be standing around in for nearly three hours.

Erm, can’t think of anything else really. Jo did point the following in my direction… Sorryeverbody.com. Funny, funny.

If you’re bored, or in a very odd mood (like I am most of the time), go to honda.co.uk/change, click on ‘make life better’, then ‘see the film and sing along’. Really, a piece of advertising genius! But be warned, the song is incredibly catchy – you will be singing it for the next week. Mwhahahahaaa… (disclaimer – I’m not necessarily endorsing the car, just the advert).

And YAY! Got a comment from someone other than a flatmate I bullied into it to see if the bloody thing worked! And double yay! It’s Jess! *huggles*

Right, I am off to read about databases some more. Woot!

I look handsome, I look smart, I am a walking work of art…

Just got back from seeing Joseph at the Mayflower. Though I am sure that the following admission will loose me much respect, I had forgotten how much fun musicals are! And, reluctantly, I will admit that Darren Day wasn’t awful in the role. Not as good as Philp Schofield or Jason Donavon, but not dreadful. It would have been nice if the makeup they had used to try and cover his tattoos had been the right colour though =P Now, off to get things ready before going back to G’bury for the Carnival. Have a good weekend peeps 🙂

– Well, added are a link to Bail’s site to be found in the Address Book, the Guestbook, which can be linked to from the frontdoor, and the Breaking Headlines which you will (hopefully) see at the top of this page. Which has lead my to think about how this place could be rejigged. Do you want to see the Blog on the same page as real news, or separate?.

Links to the Guestbook are as follows – Sign Guestbook, View Guestbook

– New front page – Jo sent it to me and it amused me. I am sure that we will return to Buddhist serenity soon, but for now, some almost-stalking humour. Before I forget, has anyone got any good cookie (or other baking) recipes? I’ve got into baking in a big way as a stress relief and as a break from constant typing (I have almost consant buzzing in my right arm now), and I only have three recipes! The baking chain that was started by Ellie in Scouse-land has now gone through me and Jo, and onto Agnes and assorted other flatmates. The cookies wars have started – let the games begin!

– Nearly a week has gone by and in that week, I got to Portsmouth! Yay for the meeting the original Surly Elf, and Takhisis 😀 Her face when Joe walked through the door was a picture and well worth the secrecy, and getting up early on my one day off. Happy Birthday Sam 🙂

Other than that, nothing much has happened, other than the release of RSI: the Return of the Pain. *bored* My own fault for posting so much and doing a computer degree, but Meh. I enjoy it really. That is my excuse though for a slightly shorter News Report than usual. Off to do some work now. No, really!

– *note to self – be careful with what you say in Blog, you never know who is reading, and you don’t want to get fired from Delta… Oops, did I say that out loud? And in other news, as Bush is soon going to be at war with EVERYone, I’m going to build myself a nice bunker and become a hermit for the next four years. That, and cut off an arm so I will be medically unfit when Blair decides to conscript everyone into the army to fight the latest war with ‘our good friends.’ Oh, and spamming pays – a duo of spammers in Virginia who amased a $24 million from their scams have, between them, 9 years in jail and a $7500 fine. The world really is going to hell in a handcart.

Hobbits have been found on Flores though, so Tolkien wasn’t making it all up!

And that is it for now. This is Cas, feeling remarkably despondant, signing off. Woot.
